Founded by Dr. Johnson You, L.Ac., Ph.D., a second-generation master acupuncturist and herbalist, the clinic is now led by his daughter, Dr. Karen You, L.Ac., DAOM, who carries on the family’s legacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The You Family played a pioneering role in establishing acupuncture as a legally recognized and regulated medical profession in California. Today, our team of licensed practitioners continues that mission — delivering expert, compassionate care rooted in tradition, credibility, and healing.

Dr. Karen You, L.Ac., MSTCM, DAOM
Clinic Owner and Practitioner
Third-generation acupuncturist and clinic owner, Dr. Karen You, L.Ac, DAOM, graduated with a Doctorate of Acupuncture degree from Five Branches University and a Master's of Science from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Karen You is experienced in treating both neuromuscular conditions and internal medicine conditions. She has extensive knowledge in Chinese herbals and specializes in trigger point needling for myofascial release of muscles, as well as cosmetic facial acupuncture.
Dr. Connie Ly, L.Ac., DACM
Practitioner
Dr. Connie Ly, L.Ac., graduated with her Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA. She is following her grandfather’s footsteps of practicing Chinese Medicine; he was a Chinese herbalist in Southern China prior to moving to America in the 1980s.
Dr. Connie Ly's training includes orthopedic acupuncture, trigger point therapy, Chinese herbology, and Mei Zen style facial acupuncture rejuvenation.
Jun Mee Im, L.Ac., MSTCM
Practitioner
Jun Mee Im completed her studies of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at University of East West Medicine and Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Science. She is passionate about preventive medicine, holistic health, stress reduction, lifestyle improvement, and patient education.
Jun Mee Im has had the opportunity to learn from top practitioners in South Korea and specializes in the fields of facial skin rejuvenation, hair rejuvenation, headache, and women’s health after extensive clinical work. She is also experienced in treating gastrointestinal conditions, insomnia, stress, anxiety, and orthopedic issues.
Dr. Johnson You, L.Ac., Ph.D.
Founder, Retired
Was the original clinic founder. He is a second-generation master acupuncturist and herbalist with over 45 years of experience since 1977. He served the San Francisco community at the current Inner Richmond location since 1988 and has worked with Dr. Karen You, daughter and current clinic owner, to pass down the You family lineage of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
